Private word and character counting
The counter runs entirely in the current browser tab. FreNiMi does not receive or store the entered content, which is useful for unpublished drafts, client copy, application responses, and internal documents.
Words are counted as groups separated by whitespace. Character count includes spaces and punctuation. Sentence count looks for groups ending in a period, question mark, or exclamation point, while reading time uses an average speed of 225 words per minute.

Frequently asked questions
Does the character count include spaces?
Yes. Every typed character, including spaces, punctuation, and line breaks, contributes to the character total.
How is reading time calculated?
The estimate divides the word total by 225 words per minute and rounds up to the next whole minute.
Is my text saved or uploaded?
No. Counting happens locally in your browser and the page does not send the entered text to FreNiMi.
Why can sentence counts vary between tools?
Sentence detection is an estimate. Abbreviations, decimals, fragments, and text without ending punctuation can produce different results.
