What does the image converter remove?
The browser decodes the visible pixels and exports a new JPG, PNG, or WebP file. That fresh export does not copy the source file's EXIF block, including common camera and location fields.

Image conversion questions
What happens to transparency when I choose JPG?
JPG does not support transparency. Transparent areas are filled with the background color selected in the converter before the new file is created.
Does converting always make an image smaller?
No. File size depends on the image, output format, dimensions, and quality setting. For size-focused controls, use the Image Compressor.
Will this remove a visible watermark or text?
No. The converter removes embedded metadata during re-encoding, but anything visibly drawn into the image pixels remains in the output.
