FRENIMI / PRACTICAL GUIDES

What makes a website feel fast and reliable?

Check what visitors experience.

A good page makes its purpose clear, loads its main content promptly, responds to interaction and keeps content from unexpectedly moving. Test on narrow screens, with a keyboard, and with realistic content.

Measure loading, interaction and layout stability.

Core Web Vitals cover Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Interaction to Next Paint (INP), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS). Google’s good thresholds are LCP at 2.5 seconds or less, INP at 200 milliseconds or less, and CLS at 0.1 or less, evaluated at the 75th percentile of real visits.

Treat lab results as lab results.

Lighthouse helps identify performance, accessibility, best-practice and search issues. A lab run measures LCP, CLS and Total Blocking Time; it does not establish real-user INP or a site-wide Core Web Vitals pass. Scores can vary by device, network and build.

Keep the page calm.

Avoid unsolicited animation, competing calls to action, shifting images and repeated claims. Keep optional technical detail expandable. Check navigation, contact links, readable contrast, visible focus, labels and useful error messages.
