How annotating works here

You draw directly on the real, rendered page.

1

Upload your PDF

The page renders right in your browser, exactly as it will look in the result.

2

Draw or highlight

Pick a color and width, then draw with your mouse, trackpad, or finger.

3

Download the result

Your browser adds every mark to the right page and saves the finished PDF.

Private browser-based PDF annotation

FreNiMi Tools renders each page locally and adds your drawn marks to the actual PDF content using pdf-lib, entirely in browser memory. Nothing is sent to FreNiMi, and no account is required.

Supported files and limitations

  • Standard, unencrypted PDFs of any size.
  • Password-protected PDFs are not supported — remove the password first with the Protect & Unlock PDF tool.
  • Marks are permanent, flattened strokes, not editable annotation objects — they can't be selectively removed once downloaded.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The page is rendered and marked up entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted anywhere.

Can I undo a mistake?

Yes — Undo removes your most recent stroke, and Clear page removes everything on the current page.

What's the difference between Pen and Highlighter?

Pen draws a solid, opaque line. Highlighter draws a wider, translucent stroke that lets the page content show through.

Can I annotate multiple pages?

Yes — use the page navigation to move between pages; every stroke remembers which page it was drawn on.
